About Chasing the Tail:
NCTC Founding Member, former Artistic Director, and Affiliate Artist Paul Morgan Stetler brings to the stage this new adaptation of Shakespeare’s comedic classic Much Ado About Nothing. In the European town of Caledonia, mayor and cross-dresser Juan Pablo, his grammar-loving daughter Mabel, and quick-witted niece Constance await the return of the 6th Regiment. Major Flores arrives followed by her second-in-command Captain Ricardo (a confirmed bachelor), and the young officer and hero Lieutenant Heathcliff. Amidst celebrations, quick-forming love, and love traps, Juan Pablo’s scheming half-brother Sergeant Arnold and his maid-by-day, conniving-dominatrix-by-night companion Irene plot to dampen the group’s spirits with an evil plan.
