Theatre Black Dog’s Playwrights Showcase 2017
Snoqualmie, WA. Friday, Saturday, January 13, 14
The Black Dog Arts Café, Snoqualmie’s local restaurant and hub for music and the arts, serves excellent original Mexican cuisine. Known for its nights of live music and entertainment, the café is the long time home of Theatre Black Dog, a professional quality fringe theatre group, which has been in existence since 1996. The company is known for it’s wonderful productions performed every year; most recently, Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird. The café now opens its doors for the fourth consecutive year to two nights of original one-act plays, written by local playwrights from the Seattle area and the Eastside.
The showcase is a fundraiser for Theatre Black Dog’s, sponsor, The Black Dog Arts Coalition, which promotes theatre and the arts throughout the Snoqualmie area. Several of the plays to be performed are the result of Susan Bradford’s, (Artistic Director of the company), Playwriting Workshop, fall of 2016.
